SOFFI
SOFFI® is an integrated approach to supporting oral feeding in preterm infants and in infants struggling to eat for any reason, both in the NICU and in the Early Intervention setting. The training is offered live, virtually via a ZOOM platform, and as a recorded series of video modules. SOFFI® provides the practitioner with evidence-based information regarding feeding development as well as assessment and intervention strategies. SOFFI® is guided by SOFFI® Algorithms which are clinical decision-making pathways designed to ensure all feeders use the same critical thinking during feedings. In 2013, the National Association of Neonatal Nurses highly recommended the use of the SOFFI® Algorithm in conjunction with their “Infant-Directed Oral Feeding for Premature and Critically Ill Hospitalized Infants: Guideline for Practice” (Sables-Baus, S., et al., 2013.) “The SOFFI® algorithm is grounded in similar principles as described in this guideline.” National Association of Neonatal Nurses SOFFI® is the ONLY intervention to date that has longitudinal evidence with infants both within the NICU setting AND after their discharge where parents are the primary feeders. Additionally, it is the ONLY intervention to date that has been implemented and studied with both premature infants, and infants with medical comorbidities – both preterm and term. These data were part of a research study on the effectiveness of SOFFI®, conducted at a large tertiary children’s hospital (Horner, et al., 2014).

PROMPT
PROMPT is a multidimensional therapeutic approach to sound production errors that incorporates tactile kinetic (touch) cues to assist with motor planning along with cognitive-linguistic and social-emotional aspects of communication. The various levels of tactile cues are specific for each speech sound and assist the client with motor planning to produce that specific sound.

Astronaut Training
Astronaut Training Protocol is based on A. Jean Ayres research. It utilizes neuroanatomical structure and function. It enhances vestibular/cochlear support for: centering & balancing body in gravitatational space, timing & rhythmicity of movement, 3D spatial awareness, adaptive behavior in a dynamic environment, regulation of orientation, arousal, & sustained attention , along with emotional stability.

Baby-Led Sleep & Well-Being Specialist
Let’s start by clearing up a few things and sharing with you what we are not. As Baby-Led Sleep & Well-Being Specialists we are NOT sleep consultants. We are NOT sleep coaches and we are NOT sleep trainers. So, Who Are We? We are the safe place when you need someone to talk to about how exhausting and defeating parenting can be some days. We are the guide to help you see your child for who they really are. We are here to help you feel empowered to follow your instincts and your child's natural development. We are here to help you to understand you don’t need to be searching for all the parenting answers, because we will guide you in discovering that YOU are the answer for your child. We want to assist you in synchronizing with your baby so you can recognize what is working for you and your baby and what is not. We want you to be able to recognize these things instinctually, while always placing attachment and connection at the highest importance.

DIR/Floor Time
DIR® is the Developmental, Individual-differences, and Relationship-based model (pronounced saying each letter as an initialism: D.I.R.). DIR provides a foundational framework for understanding human development and how each person individually perceives and interacts with the world differently. It outlines the critical role social-emotional development has on overall human development starting at birth and continuing throughout the lifespan. The model highlights the power of relationships and emotional connections to fuel development. Through a deep understanding of the "D" and the "I" we can use the "R" to promote healthy development and to help everyone reach their fullest potential. DIR® is rooted in the science of human development and can sound technical at times, but it is also simple. It is a pathway to promote healthy development in a respectful manner that builds connections, understanding, love, communication, and engagement.
